You guys may be thinking that it’s impossible to make a game? I have no idea how?
Well, the future is here, With the game engines like Unity that allow you to buy ready made scripts, create games and they also have thousands of tutorials teaching you everything about making a game. So, after all, it’s not that hard to become an Indie Game Developer.
Just go and check out the Unity marketplace and see for yourself.
Don’t worry about your job almost 90% of the people are doing it on the side of their full-time job.
My friend has been making mobile games for around 7 years. Just this year he had saved enough money to quit his job and do it full time.
DON’T START WITH A COMPLEX IDEA:
I see a lot of people that want to start out doing things like an FPS (first person shooter) game.I mean they seriously want to start doing it.They’re are just the beginners with barely basic skills and that’s what they want to do.
When people like these guys sit down to do a job, they’re easily defeated.
I am not saying your first game can’t be an FPS, but you have to consider all the things ahead. If you choose an FPS, it will take really long before it is finished and it will be on the market alongside games like Battlefield and Call of Duty. Isn’t it better to start with a smaller project to get under the radar of the other developers and press?
First of all, obviously make a game.
Then make a blog and use an iframe, pop your quick game on your blog and start building a community with it, even give it away in exchange for email subscribers.
Charge people a dollar to play it during development and use that money to make the game better.
Sell it just like people sell products, you can charge as much as you think it’s worth but charge fairly and allow the first few buyers to have access to some special features.
Put it on Steam as an indie game, just look at the “Don’t Starve Together” look at how many reviews it has, this game right here is a pure genius creation. It’s a lot if you charge a dollar when hundreds of thousands of people buy your game.
There’s a goldmine of value here, over the next week I’ll be adding even more amazing guides that are sure to BLOW your mind. And I’ll be taking a much deeper look into other ways to earn money as a gamer.Soon I’m also becoming an indie game developer.
Have an awesome day.
